Restoring Public Benefits 2025

Don't like how things are going?

We, The People, validate consensus. Legislators write laws. Executives implement Policy according to approved budgets.

Today we are initiating a process to review the Federalist Papers and the US Constitution with the goal of codifying Public Benefits into law, starting with Ulster County.

Join us to learn how strategic county action delivers community benefits through better local laws.

Legislative Open Mic: Ulster County

  • Where: Ulster County Legislative Chambers, 244 Fair Street, Kingston, NY; Livestream: Click Here for Details
  • When: Tuesday May 20, 2025, 7:00 PM until...
  • Why: To demonstrate Public Opinion.

History
In 1788, the Poughkeepsie Convention at Dutchess County Courthouse saw New York State narrowly ratify the Constitution
(30-27) through heated debate and hard-won consensus. Today, we activate the power of consensus building.

Create change through the time-honored process of public debate and consensus-building. This goes beyond slogans—it's about constructive engagement that transforms policy and creates real jobs for people like you.

In times of great change, societies...

In times of great change, societies have created frameworks to balance power and protect community interests. The Magna Carta limited royal authority in 1215. The U.S. Constitution established governance by and for the people in 1787. Today, as we face unprecedented economic and environmental challenges, we need a new social contract—one that balances innovation with responsibility, profit with purpose.

At Voices for Progress, we believe the future demands collaborative models where community benefit stands equal to, not beneath, private gain. In a world where supply chains are fragile and resources limited, we must reimagine how organizations work together.

This week we will share the Public Benefit Contract model designed to enable organizations to collaborate, governed by a legal contract. We believe in Financial and Environmental Sustainability so we start by focusing on the needs of people, which typically prioritizes housing, food and transportation. Take a moment and become familiar with the collaboration partners we are aligned with.

Together, we can build systems where transparency, accountability, and shared prosperity aren't just aspirations—they're the foundation of how we operate. Join us in creating a future where public benefit drives our economy forward.
